Daniela Jasper

Daniela Jasper is one of the world’s best female extreme mountaineers.

EIGER NORTH FACE

She has completed three routes up the north face of the Eiger. One of these is the most difficult route ever climbed up a north face. Together with her husband and climbing partner Robert Jasper, she managed the first ascent of the ‘Symphonie de Liberté’ route up the north face of the Eiger. This was the first route with a difficulty level of 10 tocross one of the great north walls.

The well known backdrop of the north face of the Eiger was also the filming location for the IMAX movie production ‘The Alps,’ in which Daniela Jasper was involved as one of the leading actors.

CLIFFS AND ICE

"Extreme routes like these require climbing of the highest calibre as well as solid ice." Daniela Jasper came to attention at the age of just 19 with sports climbing routes in the sub-10 levels.  Daniela Jasper discovered her passion for climbing at 16 and, from then on, spent every free minute on the cliffs. With routes at the top of the ninth level of difficulty, she was soon one of Germany’s top climbers – without even knowing it!

EXTREME EXPEDITION

Today, her performance on steep ice and big walls has made her part of the international elite. She and Robert Jasper make an absolutely first-rate team on the world’s most difficult walls. Her expeditions around the world have been documented on television and in the press.
